The National Call Centre for HIV/AIDS & Related Diseases (NCCH) was officially commissioned in June 2012, with the aim of providing information, counselling and referral services on HIV/AIDs and Related Diseases such as Tuberculosis, Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) and Malaria.
Currently, the Centre receives inquires and provides information on HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment, care and support. In addition, specific issues regarding Prevention of Mother To Child Transmission (PMTCT), discordant couples, Gender Based Violence are also addressed. There is also provision for support and encouragement for HIV Test Services (HTS) through the counselling services offered as well as a follow-up and feedback mechanism.
