EASTER: A TIME FOR LOVE,HOPE AND REDRESS

- Ayoyinka Olubunmi

Easter time is the commemoration of the Death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is a time for redress, atonement, hope and love. Interestingly, the Easter period has increasingly become an event universally celebrated without recourse to religion, ethnic background or geographical location. Rather than engage in unhealthy activities, Nigerians are urged to use this season to show love and kindness to people living with and affected by HIV/AIDS.

- Itunuoluwa Akinwale

Research and statistics has proven over time that women have the highest rate of the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). This has implication in the fight on AIDS as this automatically increases the risk of more children being infected by the virus if proper care and precautions are not taken during pregnancy and after birth.
