Purpose
To monitor and evaluate all HIV/AIDS activities.
Functions
1. To collect, collate, analyse and document M&E data/findings on HIV/AIDS
2. To carry out M&E needs assessment
3. To develop an M&E framework
4. To coordinate stakeholders requirements for M
5. To periodically evaluate M&E programmes
6. To collate and analyse M&E data
7. To set up a resource centre for HIV/AIDS
Achievements
» Development of M&E frame work (NNRIMS) with operational plan
» 35 States and FCT have been trained on NNRIMS
» 35 States have stepped down their training and are collecting data using the NNRIMS data collecting tools
» Establishment of functioning national TWG on M&E
» Facilitation of System strengthening plans for states
» 22 States have installed the NNRIMS database Program Monitoring and Evaluation (PME)
» Patient Management and Monitoring (PMM) Harmonized
» Special Survey & Surveillance Systems
» 2008 Sentinel sero-prevalence Survey (ANC)
» 2007 National AIDS and Reproductive Health Survey.
» 2007 BSS for High risk groups
» Joint BSS and bio-surveillance on HRG, including MSM and IDU.
» All Sentinel and Special Surveys measure impact, outcome and output level indicators as contained in the NNRIMS
